House Art hat-trick!

The House Art Competition was once again hotly contested as all thirteen Houses transformed into galleries with paintings and installations on display. The adjudicators this year are both OCs and artists – Mr Peter Burgess and Mr Jonathan Luke. They assessed each House on the basis of Collboration/Team Spirit and Quality, Creativity and Originality.

For the third time in the last six years, Pageites brushed aside the opposition to claim the House Art Palette. Bodeites, Gownboys and Daviesites were nominated, and individual prizes were awarded for each year group (see below).

Pageites’ theme was “What’s Left Behind” and the piece was a study on refugees and their portrayal and treatment by the world at large. There were several components to the prize winning display and there were contributions from all year groups in the House.

The judges commented on the collaboration and enthusiasm which was evident as they went round the house last Sunday.

The shoes and clothes from the main displays are being sent to Rotterdam from where they will be distributed to refugees fleeing from unstable countries.
